Epiphany and also during any other occurring feast until the eve of the Feast of Epiphany, we chant the 1^st set of Katavasiae of Epiphany:

• At 6^th of January (

Epiphany) are chanted both sets of Katavasiae of the feast of Epiphany:

b.«Israel walketh the sea’s unsettled surging…»

• During the Sunday after the Epiphany and also any occurring feasts until the apodosis of the feast are chanted the second set of Katavasiae of the Holy Epiphany:

• At the Apodosis of the feast of Holy Epiphany, are chanted both sets of Katavasiae of the feast:

• After the Apodosis of the Holy Epiphany during the Sundays or the remembrance of Saints until the Apodosis of the Presentation of our Lord we chant the Katavasiae of the Presentation of our Lord:

• After the Apodosis of the Feast of Presentation of our Lord, in any occurring remembrances of Saints, we chant the Katavasiae:

• During the first four Sundays of the Triodion meaning, a. Publican and Pharisee, b. Prodigal Son, c. Meat-Fare and d. Cheese-Fare and since the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord has apodosis, we chant the Katavasiae of each Sunday. meaning:

Prodigal Son:            «Take up the song of Moses…»

Meat-Fare:             «He is unto me for salvation…»

Cheese-Fare:              «Crossing the deep on foot…»

* For the benefit of learning seekers we note that the Apodosis of the Presentation of our Lord never falls outside the Triodion period. Thus we considered it unnecessary to note the Katavasiae of the Sunday of Publican and Pharisee

• The feasts, a) of Forerunner (24^th of Feb.), b) of the Holy Forty Martyrs (9^th of March), c) of Annunciation of Theotokos (25^th of March), we chant the Katavasia:
